Smart CDL Academy, Inc. was established in 2023, received Texas DPS TPST approval in 2025, and began serving students in 2026. From our Irving location, we provide CDL training, CLP preparation, practical instruction, and on-site skills testing.

Unlike large, impersonal schools, we provide personalized, one-on-one instruction. Our small class sizes mean our instructors get to know you, understand your learning style, and give you the individual attention you need to master every skill.
Our instructors provide classroom and behind-the-wheel instruction focused on CDL regulations, safety standards, pre-trip inspections, road training, and CDL test preparation.
You will train using manual and automatic trucks at our Irving facility. Our curriculum uses practical scenarios to prepare students for commercial driving.

Smart CDL Academy is approved by the Texas Department of Public Safety as a Third-Party Skills Testing provider (TPST #0221).
Eligible applicants may complete CDL skills testing at our Irving facility, subject to applicable requirements and scheduling.
